Job Title: Field Application Engineer

About the Role ✍
You will work on a variety of tasks ranging from interacting with our customers/partners to developing and deploying innovative imaging solutions that best solve clients’ problems across various industries. You will regularly meet with customers/partners to grasp the technical challenges of the project, understand its feasibility, shape the requirements, and recommend specific solutions. You will also work closely with the engineering team to implement new features, collect/analyze data, and come up with novel solutions to problems being faced across a variety of industries. This can involve writing embedded software, coding Verilog for an FPGA, coming up with and coding demos and contributing to an open source ecosystem. You will learn and develop low level image processing operations through to a full blown perception stack with some machine learning thrown into the mix. Similarly, you will work closely with our customers/partners to ensure proper integration of the solution and complete a successful deployment. Additionally, you will act as an advisor to our customers by providing advice, recommendations, and technical training.
Key Qualifications 🔍
> Degree in an engineering field such as Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other relevant fields.
> Interest in Computer Vision / Image processing.
> Understanding of Embedded Systems hardware architecture, design, test and troubleshooting.
> Understanding of object-oriented software engineering and ability to write clean, well-documented code.
> Working knowledge of C++, Python, Matlab, VHDL/Verilog, and Linux desired.
> Prior Hardware Product / Platform Development and Platform Debug experience is a plus.
> Prior sales experience is a plus.
> Able to demonstrate problem solving and troubleshooting skills including lab testing and debugging.
> Self-learner and independent problem solver who thinks creatively.
> Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
> Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills in English.
